Celebrating 100 Years of Our Sanctuary

No words can fully capture the joy of celebrating the 100th birthday of our beloved Sanctuary and the many hands and hearts that have sustained it as our place of worship.

Community Celebration

On July 5, we joined the Hebron Independence Day Parade with a miniature version of our church. After the parade, the community gathered for ice cream and cookies and enjoyed a self-guided audio tour highlighting the history of our Sanctuary and those honored at its dedication in 1925.

Rededication Service

On July 6, we welcomed District Superintendent Wendy Hardin Hermann, who shared an inspiring message: “Nothing is impossible with God.”

The service included a meaningful rededication, with special music from Stephanie Kasten, Shirlee Correll, James Hampton, and our HUMC Kids and Youth.

A Joyful Ending

We concluded the celebration with a churchwide potluck luncheon and gratitude for everyone who helped make this milestone so meaningful.
